Let’s bake Chocolate Chip Cookies

I really enjoy baking, but I don’t do it very often for various reasons such as I can’t seem to bake without making a total mess and the fact that ovens are my mortal nemesis (Sensitive to heat) and I feel bad asking people to help with that.

Regardless, I was asked to bake cookies for work on Monday and thus, today became Baking Day (because today is many things). Of course, it wasn’t enough that I had to bake cookies for work–if I’m baking my family also wants some so I had to make a batch for work without nuts and a batch for home with nuts. Everyone is pretty happy so now it’s just hoping my job doesn’t hate them.

My father recently surprised me with a new mixer so it took a bit to get used to it.

It’s definitely better though–normally when we make these, the dough is practically trying to climb out of the bowl so it was nice to not have that problem.

In general, most of what I make looks terrible between my lack of art skills and my lack of photography skills, but it tastes good and that’s all that matters [to me].

I suppose you can say this had a heavy impact on me when I was younger:
