Smash Brothers 3DS Thoughts

10 / 4 / 1410 / 4 / 14

To be clear, this is not a review. I’m planning to review the games together, though, Zero Reviews will be writing up an individual review. I already spoke about the characters/roster though so I won’t be mentioning those here.

More or less, I do enjoy the game, but there’s several features I either don’t care for or are missing that make me pretty sad.

I do not like the Target Blast mode at all. I’ve always had bad aim, sometimes a character’s attack will launch, sometimes not, it just has so many issues. I’d like the mode if it was a bit different, but the timer and etc. just makes me frustrated and not really enjoy it.

Similarly, the StreetPass mode is okay, but not my favorite. I still haven’t quite figured out the countering and both that and the amount of hits are required for certain Challenges. I know there’s hammers that can break them (and it’s part of what they are for), but there’s only so many. And I’m honestly sad the challenges are back.

I’m sure I mentioned it before, but I wish Smash Run wasn’t wireless only.

One of the things I miss the most though is the Item Frequency options. I love making it rain down Pokeballs and that’s not in the game at all. Maybe it’ll be in the WiiU version but…

But yes, in summary: For a Smash Brothers game, I do like it. It’s fun just like the rest. I enjoy all the stages. Unfortunately, a lot of the new modes and the way certain things work is just really disappointing to me.

A Super-sized Pumpkaboo

10 / 1 / 1410 / 1 / 14

October is a busy month and Pokemon is actually celebrating it with many different things including a special website! There’s currently three special distribution events going on as well–one starting today!

1. PUMPKABOO!
Pumpkaboo
Yep! You can get a special Super-sized Pumpkaboo all month long through Wifi.

You download it through Mystery Gift using the Internet option. :) Than pick it up from the Pokemon Center!:

(Make sure to have a slot opened though)

Since the Pumpkaboo is super-sized, if you evolve it into Gourgeist, you’ll be able to use it in newest competition.
pgl

And if you’re not really into competitive play like me, you can still enjoy having a very Halloween themed Pumpkaboo as it comes with the moves Trick-or-Treat and Scary Face (and is holding a Rocky Helmet).

Its OT is Spooky2014 which is pretty cute, honestly (as is the October ’14 Trainer ID). She’s even Mischievous (Characteristic–she’s Adamant Nature) <3 2. Gengar! And not just any Gengar, but a Shiny Gengar and it comes with Gengarite! Incase you never got yours in Lavarre City or just really want another one :P Regardless, Shiny Mega Gengar is quite pretty. It'll be available through a code you can receive at Gamestops from October 13th to October 26th. And if you like the collecting cards or playing the Trading Card Game, you can find some exclusive Gengar-themed booster packs at Gamestop as well! 3. Diancie! Even though the event goes into November, Diancie will also be available to be gotten through a code you can receive from Gamestop from October 27th to November 16th. But yes, look forward to these and a very early Happy Halloween to everyone! Remember to share your Pokemon-themed Halloween photos with the hashtag #PokemonHalloween on Instagram and Twitter for them to show up on the Halloween website :)

New 3DS themes

9 / 29 / 149 / 29 / 14

While I still have a lot of mixed feelings on the new 3DS, I am thankful for one thing it has given us–Themes. I thought it’d be fun to go through the list (although, I’m sure not all of them will come over unfortunately… it’d be nice though!) and pick out my favorites.

1. Peach Theme:
peachtheme
To be honest, I’d like this more if they went with a lighter shade of pink instead of the fuchsia color they decided to use. That said, I still love the folder design for it.

2. Animal Crossing – Mayor’s Office Theme:
actheme
This is just really adorable.

3 & 4. Animal Crossing – Able Sister’s Themes:
\abtheme2
I’ve always loved the teal/pink color combinations and these are just very cute.

5. Pink/White Striped Theme:
pinkwhite
This is probably the theme I’ll end up using. It’s kind of plain which makes me sad, but it’s the shade of pink I prefer.

6. Round Peach Theme:
peachroundtheme
Though, this is definitely a close runner-up. I just wish they made the top more “Peach” or even “Princess” themed versus the generic design each Mario Round theme has.

I kind of hope if they continue adding new themes, maybe we’ll even be able to mix and match from the ones we buy–like this for example:
customlayout
(Using the Buttons from Peach Rounded theme, Folder Design from the Peach theme, Bottom Wallpaper of Peach Rounded theme, and Top Wallpaper of the Sable Able Theme)

Or a 2nd version which just switches the bottom buttons from the Peach Rounded theme to the Pink/White Striped theme:

Tomodachi Life: Finally a Camper!

9 / 27 / 14

So, as many people may know, I’ve been struggling quite a bit when it comes to getting Street Passes for Tomodachi Life. I managed to get a few items, but never a traveler. As it is, as shown from my last entry, I haven’t even managed to Streetpass someone with the game in ages. While I didn’t get a new item (though, I did get a new color), the fact that I finally received a camper was more than enough:

WELCOME, HUNTER.

I quickly ran over to the camp site just super excited.

He ended up feeling homesick so I showed him a music box.

I guess it helped as he then offered me some Chili Con Carne for 5 Play Coins.

I said yes immediately. I also gave him a message to say (Thank you!) and let him send this picture he took with Carlos as well:

I then gave him some food and let him sleep:

Though, I wonder if maybe I should have let him stay up longer? Oh well!

My Mii also enjoyed the Chili Con Carne:

Anyway, expect an update on our full-time residents and traveling children in a few days :)

Note: I received the game early from Nintendo. Thank you, Nintendo! :D If you are interested in Tomodachi Life, you may want to look into picking it up!

On Region Locking and Exclusives

9 / 25 / 14

Region Locking tends to have a lot of arguments attached to it and I can understand why Region Locking is needed to a point–but there are many things that get locked behind Region Locking that I do not understand at all. I’m going to be talking a bit about both:

I have definitely read a lot of things on “why does Region Locking even exist” and the simple answer is mostly due to the economy. For example, many places outside North America speak English. While the US sadly lacks the care to want to teach their students many languages early on in school (which upsets me so much T__T), it’s much more common outside our country. And when it comes down to it, our games are also a bit cheaper due to our economy. In Japan, games generally sell for a good amount more. And for places in Europe, while games are around similar prices (or more once you do the conversion), if either of these places imported from North America, they’d generally be saving money. I say generally mostly as shipping varies, but if you know someone, you could probably save quite a bit.

This also has to do with release dates–if you know other languages or if a game is available in a language you know or maybe language doesn’t even matter, chances are if it’s coming out somewhere else first and you could play it and have the money for it, what’s stopping you from ordering it? Region locking is in play for that as well because otherwise, the sales for the game in other region could plummet if everyone just went and got the Japanese game. I mean, look at Pokemon X and Y–that game had each language already set for its global release (although, timezones still kind of killed that). If it wasn’t for region locks, what would’ve stopped people from downloading the Japanese game right as it hit the eShop? While this may have fixed the timezone issue, there’s still the change in sales for each region and most games do not have all the languages available to be selected.

That said, there’s definitely many things I do not understand region locking for such as online connectivity and StreetPass. There’s a good amount of games that unfortunately do not let you play with people outside of your region with the game acting like the other is something completely different. You can’t streetpass anyone, you can’t play with them online, you can’t gift eachother or trade eachother and this just seems like such a huge oversight that really shouldn’t exist. There are games that play fine such as Animal Crossing and then there’s stuff like Disney Magical World and Theatrhythm Curtain Call that refuse to acknowledge any version of the game that is in another region.

This gets even more frustrating with Region Exclusives. While I understand some things need to be changed for certain audiences (Such as the Bath Scene in Tomodachi Life), I also feel some things should be allowed like the Asian store for males in Style Savvy: Trendsetters (and similarly, due to removal of certain things in that game makes me worry even more we will never get the update) or going back to Tomodachi Life, while I understand many changes with food and other things, I wish we received all the new things in addition versus removing and replacing. There’s so many beautiful outfits and interesting food (like Takoyaki) in the different versions and it’s sad that we’ll never see them because they were removed. And it’s different if it’s something that could offend someone. Something that is seen as normal and ordinary in Japan could be seen as creepy or wrong here and it’s depressing that something like that is true, but would keeping in certain clothes really force that? Or food items? Especially in games that aren’t even meant to be taken that seriously.

Heck, I mentioned before how the fact that all the holidays and items aren’t in each Animal Crossing game make me super sad as it’s obvious the events are translated and part of what made me interested in Japanese culture is an item that apparently shouldn’t exist outside Japan because it was removed in every other version of the game unless you got it from someone from Japan. And how is that not depressing? I just feel not only could these kinds of things easily add more content to a game, but also teach people about things they may have not known about other cultures or items and I just feel there’s not enough of that in the world.

And while I can understand games needing to take time to be translated among other things thus delays from Japan to the North America and Europe, delays from Europe/Australia to North America has always baffled me (I can kind of understand North America to Europe since that requires more than just English usually) as they are already in English and they rarely change things. I mean, we received Azran Legacy several months after Europe and they redubbed Luke’s voice so I can guess maybe that took a while… but we received Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright also several months later with absolutely no changes from the European version and that’s a delay that will forever keep me wondering just what caused it in the first place. (And make me even more sad as I wait an extra month for Fantasy Life T__T And these several months for Pokemon Art Academy)

But yes, in short:
-I understand why region locking exists for physical and digital games
-I do not understand why certain modes are region locked from other regions of the same game
-I do not understand why there is a need to remove certain features and contents of a game.
-Delays for games already translated in English to a primarily English-speaking country confuses me.

Pokemon games and their features

9 / 22 / 149 / 24 / 14

Recently on Ask.fm, I received a question on my favorite features of Pokemon games and hopes for Pokemon ORAS due to some of my previous mentions of wishing we could even import our trainer from another game (due to X/Y’s customization). Just to be clear, these are just features that REALLY jump out at me personally so you may not see your favorite feature here and ones that I just think are nice didn’t make the list as I tried to keep it just to features I love.

So, I’m going to go through every game (though, not all of them will be listed)–even pulling in games from the side series of Pokemon as well. While I don’t expect Pokemon ORAS to feature everything I loved from past series for obvious reasons, most of what I’d like from it the game will already have… the only thing that hasn’t been confirmed is trainer customization which I am continuing to cross my fingers for and hope. Besides that, there’s just my small issue with contests, but I’ll explain about that more below.

Pokemon Yellow – The Anime references. While I’m probably an exception, I loved seeing them pull in stuff from the Anime. I think if custom trainers continued to be a thing, they could pull stuff in from Pokemon Special/Adventures too since we wouldn’t be taking the role of those characters and that seems like such a neat feature to me.

And while also part of Pokemon Yellow, I’m going to list this more on Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver simply as that let any Pokemon first in your party versus Yellow’s with only Pikachu – Letting a Pokemon follow you. Maybe it’s just me, but I really enjoy that feature. I find it incredibly cute.

Before we get to HGSS, I want to just pause to bring up the Gameboy Printer… I liked being able to print my certificates. I think it’d be neat if they could show up on your global link with a big downloadable version for you to go and print out. And then everyone can see I’m a Pokemon Master

Now, continuing to Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver… the photos. While Pokemon X/Y has them as well, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver had the added bonuses of being able to take them with your Pokemon and various NPCs:

X/Y also had the nice feature of of a larger limit and being able to see them on the global link. I think a mixture of the photo spots and commemorative photos would’ve been neat.

Pokemon Gold/Silver – Multiple regions. It makes me sad that Johto is the only one to have done this when we have proven to have planes and boats and just obviously other ways to visit other regions. I loved being able to get 16 badges in the Gen 2 games and it’s something I really wish would happen again. Also, Night/Day! Even though it could be hard catching certain Pokemon because of this, it was nice seeing time change in the Pokemon world.

Gold/Silver also brought along SO many new Pokeballs. While most really don’t show up again (and many are kind of useless), I honestly like them a lot and wish they’d show up again. Also, Mail. I never really used it, but I just loved to get one of each and save them as all the stationery were really pretty…

Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 – I just…really love the minigames. I also thought it was interesting how a Pokemon’s appearance could look slightly different due to a nickname.

Pokemon Snap – There really is no feature that stands out in particular. I would say the closest is certain mechanics that unlocked new areas using a kind of puzzle solving effort versus just one item. Stuff you needed to continue to do along the way as well to trigger events. I just really love this game and want a sequel, okay?

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire – Secret Hideouts! I’ve always loved them. I don’t think Diamond/Pearl did a better job with them at all (The only “pro” I could give to them is you could make them much bigger… but the item limit was still abysmally small which meant you had a very empty room) and I’m so happy to see them returning even better in the remakes.

Not to mention this generation also brought us contests and ribbons. My only complaint about contests is the way they are made that you kind of have to choose between Battling or Contests because certain moves just won’t fit with certain contests as they are all themed. I feel these could be fixed easily enough if moves didn’t have a specific “style” to them. I mean, Thunderbolt can be beautiful too and Surf can be cool, okay?

Pokemon Colosseum – Having someone follow you. While we’ve seen some games have certain areas where people will follow you and heal your Pokemon (One of the more recent ones being with Shauna in X/Y) and the areas are usually surrounded by double battles, I’ve always liked the idea of going on a journey with other trainers throughout versus them just showing up in various areas.

Not only that, but Pokemon Colosseum actually features my all-time favorite town–Phenac City:
phenaccity
I can’t say enough how much I’d love to see a town like that or like the one in the third Pokemon movie.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon – I always loved the areas each Pokemon finds itself in. They all have their own special areas and I always enjoyed it–kind of like how in the Anime, Ash’s Pokemon hang out in the giant yard behind Oak’s lab. I think it’d be neat if you had a special place for all the Pokemon you’ve caught to roam around. Similar features are when Pokemon are waiting to be picked up after coming in the Dream World in Black/White and of course, the ranch in My Pokemon Ranch.

Pokemon Battle Revolution – Trainer customization. This was the first game to have trainer customization and while X/Y finally brought it back, Pokemon Battle Revolution still had a few things X/Y didn’t such as a pin/badge you can wear (closest you got in X/Y was something for your hat) and age. I don’t necessarily mind the lack of age choice in Pokemon X/Y, but I did enjoy all the extra accessories you could get.

Also, hats were optional. But yes, I can’t say enough how much I hope this returns in ORAS. Especially as there’s contests and I could buy poofy dresses and I have dreams, okay?!

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl – Accessories. Because I like dressing up my Pokemon :P Also, I enjoyed mining for various things in the Underground. And Pokemon Capsules! I think they gave unique ways for your Pokemon to appear besides just the Pokeball type’s effects.

Not to mention the special Legendary Events. Darkrai’s was incredibly spooky, Arceus’ caused a beautiful staircase, Shaymin’s gave us a long path of flowers… I want more ingame events like these through items versus just giving us the Pokemon.

Also, Wi-fi features! YAY!

Pokemon Ranger games – While I didn’t play them much, one of the things I really liked was how Pokemon could help you without needing a specific move to be able to do so. The Anime often showcases this as well. I’d love if there was more of these kind of special abilities your Pokemon could have because of what they are versus being limited to certain HMs and other things. I mean, Pokemon eat–but it’s not a move. I feel if HMs became something more of puzzle solving or an extra thing because that Pokemon is just able to do it versus having to be taught (unless you WANT to use it in Battle), it’d make things a lot more interesting just because of how many more obstacles you could come across in the game and being able to have a team versus having to switch out for an “HM slave”.

Pokemon Black/White – Pokemon Musicals. Maybe I’m a bit weird, but I actually enjoyed these more than contests. This is because you can both dress up your Pokemon and because your Pokemon would have just as much of a chance no matter what its moves happened to be–something that is much harder with contests.

Also, the Dream World which… is actually both a feature I like and dislike. I had so many issues with getting the Dream World to work for me and I had to work my butt off to try and qualify for the special medals you’d earn from it. That said, I still really liked the cute houses and customization. I’m just sad so many things that Japan received never really carried over.

Finally, Seasons. I loved the different seasons in B/W. While I had mixed feelings on certain areas being blocked off (I wish there were just things you needed to do in said seasons versus being powerless), I felt it gave a nice change of scenery.

Pokemon Black & White 2 – Join Avenue and Pokestar Studios. Both features were a lot of fun–while I didn’t use Join Avenue like most people did (I just enjoyed having one of each shop and getting the highest rank), I still think it was cute. I just wish you could’ve done even more to customize it.

Pokestar studios was really fun in a different way just because each “scenario” was like a puzzle to some extent. My only issue with it was the fact that the RNG could really kill the entire thing for you. I wish if you did the correct action (Either for Normal or Strange), the RNG would only have one thing to pick from versus getting a critical hit and making you start all over.

Also, medals! I much preferred the Medal Box in B/W2 to the way they work in X/Y. Not just because you could see them ingame, but because you could also get an idea of what you needed to do for future ones.

Pokemon Dream Radar – While I can’t say I used this feature a lot, I did like it’s AR capabilities. I liked the idea of being able to find Pokemon in real life. Though, I’d prefer more of the actual seeing the Pokemon method versus the clouds…

Pokemon X/Y – Pokemon Amie and Trainer PR Videos. Pokemon Amie finally let you interact with Pokemon in an entirely new way and I just enjoyed it so much. Not to mention cute mini games and you can decorate them!

As for PR Videos, while they may be silly, I still found them a lot of fun:

My only real problem with them is you couldn’t feature a Pokemon with you at the same time–it was one or the other (and you couldn’t even put more than one Pokemon in at a time either).

Also, the Global Link. I love the online log book and I hope it sticks around. Seeing that it is being brought back for ORAS makes me super excited. Plus, more different weather in the overworld! While we also had Fog in Gen 5, I felt it was more dynamic in Gen 6.

Finally, the Parade at the end. I loved the parade, I loved the credits (Kiseki still makes me cry everytime). It was just beautiful and I want to see these kinds of things continue. I really enjoyed all of X/Y’s cutscenes honestly. Plus Pokemon Center Birthday <3 That made me so happy. And I don't really want to specify a generation since I really love all of them... But I've found all the different Pokegears pretty cool. Poketch, Pokegear, PokeNav, C-Gear... I'd really love to see one that just incorporated all of these things and their little apps. The Counter, Dot Artist, and Color Changer are just a few of my favorite Poketch apps. Finally, in a bit of a contrast... my least favorite Pokemon features: Pokemon Emerald – The Battle Frontier. I’ve mentioned it before, but I hate the Battle Frontier and every installment we’ve gotten of it since. This is because it pretty much requires you to have extremely good luck and/or maximum stats. I’ve always agreed strongly on Karen’s line about Pokemon: “Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites.” Now, I know most of my favorites are “weak”, but I never have any issue with the main game. I never have an issue using them against others who play similarly to me (Playing against someone with perfect stat Pokemon varies), but this is a mode I can’t beat (with few exceptions). And as a completionist, that sucks. That sucks a lot. While I could always “borrow a team” as many of my friends play that way, I like to get the ribbons for my team and all that mode tells my team is they aren’t good enough which is really discouraging. I don’t care that people play competitively. It’s obviously popular. There’s tournaments. But I don’t want to–that’s just not how I’d ever feel comfortable playing. Tossing a Pokemon away because it’s nature isn’t good enough or it’s speed is one point off or any of that. And nobody ever likes to be told they aren’t good enough just because they do something differently.

Pokemon X/Y – Mega Evolutions. Now, I can hear it already “But don’t you love Mega Audino?!”. I love Mega Audino’s design. I love Mega Diancie’s design (though, not as much as Mega Audino). I hate that neither of those amazing designs get to really be shown off.

The main issue for me is the gimmick feels a bit pointless. Even if you didn’t want to give the Pokemon an evolution (obviously for starters and for legendaries–Audino really should’ve gotten an evolution though of it instead), I feel these could have easily been switched by form changes. Meloetta, Deoxys, Rotom… just a few Pokemon who have form changes in different ways that effect their stats and/or typing. No Mega Stone required.

And rather than changing forms, if the bond is strong enough, they would just get a power-up which would strongly increase their stats. No form change necessary. This would make it so people can enjoy the design outside battle versus these lovely designs being temporary. While I could just ignore them and shrug for quite a while, Mega Diancie’s and Mega Audino’s forms actually made me incredibly sad because they were thrown into Mega forms and I can’t just enjoy them otherwise. I can’t open my party and see those forms, I can’t play with them in Pokemon Amie, and eventually there will be a point I will just never see them because they are bound to that mode.

Top 10 Reasons to be excited for Fantasy Life

9 / 21 / 14

fantasylifelogoAs most people know, my most anticipated game of the year is Fantasy Life–I have been ecstatic since we finally received a release day having anxiously waited until that day when the game was first shown for Japan. While Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire gets pretty close to my excitement (and will receive it’s own entry sometime later), Fantasy Life is still quite high on it’s pedestal.

Part of my excitement is that Fantasy Life includes many different features that I enjoy and even though it’s been 2 years since it came out in Japan, I don’t think that should discourage anyone from picking it up.

That said, let’s move onto my 10 reasons–I’d also like to point out that these are my personal reasons for why I am so excited and thus, they may not be your top ones. Keep that in mind! The game comes out in Europe and Australia this week, but won’t be out for North America for another month unfortunately.

1. Many different jobs/lives.
jobs
There are 12 different jobs in Fantasy Life. You can pick whichever you’d like and not all are even combat-focused. Some are crafting-based or a more leisurely life such as Fishing. And best of all…

2. You can switch between them.
fl-11
Tired of slashing things with a sword? Switch to a Wizard! Fishing is too boring? Become a Seamstress! You can switch at any time by talking to a Guildmaster. How is that not awesome?

3. You don’t lose your progress.
stats
Your stats are put together for your overall level and it remembers where you left off which means if you feel like taking a break from a class, you can! Maybe you want to switch to get better materials for making things? Just talk to a Guild Master, switch and then switch back. Everything will be saved and you can continue where you left off.

4. Character creation!
charactercreation
You can customize nearly every aspect of your character and can even change it whenever you’d like so if you want to look different with each new life you take, you have the option to.

5. Outfit customization.
flclothes
Even if you’re not a seamstress, you can buy clothes and get them other ways as well. And there is A LOT to choose from.

6. Home customization.

While you can’t customize the house itself, you still can pick from various places and have all kinds of furniture too.

7. Pets!
petsfl
You can have up to 3 pets and they will even help you out in battle. Only one can follow you at a time of course.

8. You can play with friends!
NEDZlN9
While you can’t advance the story at the same time, who doesn’t enjoy playing with friends? And you can play online as well–not just wirelessly.

9. StreetPass! The game has a fun streetpass feature which lets another person’s character appear in your game. You can receive special gifts from them too :)

10. A big world to explore.
TBxI0v6
With such a large map and so many different opportunities, I can only imagine how much I’ll be playing this game once it’s out.

The Special Pokemon Demo (& Pokemon.com’s Stamp Update)

9 / 16 / 14

I’ve actually spoken about this privately to a lot of friends and on Twitter, but I realized I’ve never spoken about it here so if you haven’t heard yet, I’d highly recommend reading this page.

Special demos unlocking something in a game has been quite a thing lately. Not only does it cause people who may be unsure of the game to at least make sure they play the Demo (which can win them over), but it can also cause more interest/excitement in those who are excited in the first place which is definitely the case on my end. I’ll be honest, I rarely download demos. This is due to a mixture of the fact that I try not to download things too much and usually don’t find any appeal in demos to begin with unless I’m REALLY unsure of a game so if it’s a game I plan to get anyway, I usually do not even bat an eye at the demo. Afterall, the demo tends to briefly limited anyway, I’ll have to start over when I get the game (and who knows where the demo will drop you anyway), and sometimes even plays are limited as well.

So, when I hear of a demo which gets you special content in your game or does carry over, I get really excited. As of today, I’ve downloaded a total of 4 demos–Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and the Gates of Infinity (You can find a review for that over here), Bravely Default, Smash Brothers (which, I will be honest, I’m not sure if I’d have gotten the demo if I didn’t receive the special email), and Theathrythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call. While Smash Brothers is partially due to thinking coins would transfer to the full game (which is apparently not true…), it’s still a demo I’ve been enjoying a lot despite that and I am even more excited for October 3rd to come.

I already know Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s demo will be one I download immediately for many reasons:
-Exclusive Gameplay
-Bring over a special reward
-Special scenarios if you play everyday (which means it will be in one of the even smaller selection of demos I actually play more than once)

And I can’t say enough just how excited I am for this. There’s no date just yet, but I have never wanted a demo more than right now just from a few words. It definitely wins the reward for being the only game to ever get me excited specifically for the demo (Smash Brothers did get pretty close though).

Moving past the demo, a few people had been asking me about the Stamps I had spoken about on Twitter. Pokemon.com recently had another update which includes earning stamps from doing things on the website. I’ve been working hard on earning what I can (Sadly, I’ll never be able to earn any of the Play! Pokemon ones :( I am surprised there’s no Pokemon symphony one though! Maybe when it opens up in more locations?) and I’ll admit, it’s been quite fun… even if I’ve done many of the things it rewards in the first place previously. I do think it may get people to use Pokemon.com though as I feel it’s a site that really doesn’t get as much viewing as it could and one I’ve always enjoyed visiting. But yes, if you decide to sign up for Pokemon.com, feel free to send me a friend request! :)

Tomodachi Life: Newest DLC and Recent Happenings

9 / 16 / 149 / 16 / 14

So, today is the 16th which means the newest Tomodachi Life SpotPass DLC is out:

The Hats Uniform (the outfit they wear when working at the Hat shop). It will be available until the end of the month and comes in White, Yellow, Black, and Purple.

Things have still been rather quiet (partially because I can’t play as much as I’d like to), but Romance has still managed to continue on Pink Sea Island starting with Michiru and Haruka getting married:

They weren’t the only ones to tie the knot though. Professor Layton and Claire did as well (BECAUSE THEY DESERVE HAPPINESS):

As did Emi and Z:

Plus, some new babies were born:

Abigail–who has already grown up and is now waiting to be picked up.

And Harper who will be sent off as well. If I can anyway… it is really starting to get full as I really need to manage to streetpass more people with this game… :

The hard part with Tomodachi Life is it relies even more on the other person even once you StreetPass them. I haven’t heard from several of the children I have sent off which is actually REALLY disappointing to be honest.

And then some fun day to day things… Such as cooking and hanging out outside:

And blowing Bubbles:

Plus the easiest question ever:

And getting the final dessert I needed!

I don’t have too much left now to collect… All the interiors left are monthly ones so it’s really just the other shops I need to check. The Main issue is the Special Food and last two Collection items as they both require StreetPass and I am just having no luck with it at all.

Random News Reports and Birthdays:

Note: I received the game early from Nintendo. Thank you, Nintendo! :D If you are interested in Tomodachi Life, you may want to look into picking it up!
