Disney Magical World 2 – 100+ Stickers!!

10 / 24 / 16

So, I did my very first stream for the game last night and it went pretty well :) I definitely may try and stream it again and just such a huge thank you to everyone who watches the videos on Youtube. Also a thank you to everyone reading here! This is definitely where to go if you want to see more of my thoughts :P

Taking off from where we last left off, I was working on getting invitations to the other balls:

I also took some time to work on the other Lilo and Stitch episodes:

I struggled a few times to get Gold with the Normal Difficulty, but actually did perfect on the Difficult one on my first try. I really hated re-fighting the boss, but with that done it was off to Atlantica:

I enjoy the Little Mermaid a lot, but it really confuses me about where exactly this takes place. Everything else is clearly after the movies except for this one.

I absolutely adored the Concert episode–I want more episodes like this over Battle system:

I then decided to host a Nightmare before Christmas Party as the last items I need for that set are from quests from Jack and Sally:

I also held a Little Mermaid party:

And it makes no sense she is swimming in it. The bubbles are an effect. None of this makes sense in any way.

I really wish the Gold Frame Dreams were more unique over just some new interactions on the same stage. I did love this piano though:

I loved the Little Mermaid dream:

The Sleeping Beauty one was kind of lame though.

I mean, I guess the Maleficient fight was cool, but it just felt kind of underwhelming overall.

Nightmare Before Christmas’ was… interesting.

After enough procrastination, it was onto Wonderland.

I hate Wonderland. Like ignoring that I don’t care for the movie/story, the world is frustrating, I’m not a big fan of any of the characters (Alice would be my favorite by default but would not be close to any characters I really like), and it just has some of the worst ghosts and still the same ear-piercing 10 second loop of pain for its music.

After suffering for a bit, I headed back to the Hundred Acre Wood as I finally got the Cookie Barley for Kanga and could continue the quests. First Pooh and I went to gather Honey for the Hunny Party…

And then we finally had it:

I then decided to work on Cafe Requests some more and finally held a Pirate Party:

And finally got the Big Turnip Sticker:

It was then back to Wonderland where I completely called Imposter-me would end up being the Boss of this World:

I then headed back to the Hundred Acre Wood to continue getting some new things harvested:

To further procrastinate heading back to Wonderland, I decided to go finish off the Frozen post-boss quests.

Then it was off to host more parties for Cafe Request completion.

After enough procrastination, it was back off to Wonderland.

Even my character doesn’t want to be here. And as predicted, this was the boss fight:

The boss fight was actually pretty fun though–it had a bit of a puzzle element to it and it helped make it much less frustrating.

With that, I got my 100th sticker!

And unlocked even more stickers to collect and the lovely credits roll.

And then we ended the day with a Halloween Party:

Next goals are to get all the new stickers and finish all the episodes :)

Disney Magical World 2 – All QRs and AR Cards

10 / 22 / 166 / 11 / 22

The AR Cards only work with the North American and PAL regions of the game. The QR Codes are North America only. QR Codes for Europe can be found here. None of these will not work with the Japanese version. I will update this post if any new DLC comes out in the future. Keep in mind I am playing the North American version of the game so that is what most stuff will be focused on.

As a note, AR cards can be finicky as their colors are very precise–if you’re having issues, try a different monitor or scanning on your phone.

The 3 Pre-order Frozen costumes are not included as they were a Pre-order gift, the code given is one-use, and you can eventually unlock the outfits to make ingame anyway.

Disney Magical World 2 – Up to 91 Stickers!

10 / 20 / 16

One of the things I find myself having the hardest time with is just really keeping up with everything–even though I’m at 91 Stickers, I still have the Post-World episodes, some of the high level main episodes, I am no where close at crafting the better things, failing at fishing (I still need so much), and haven’t done much of anything in the worlds for The Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland. I’m hoping to get the Little Mermaid’s main episode story done today.

I don’t know if I’d necessarily say the game is more challenging overall (certain aspects definitely though), but just very overwhelming. I feel like I’ve gotten no where yet in some way, I’m almost done which is baffling.

If there is one thing I realized with this game though, I do think it’d be immensely better without the Ghosts in it. The combat is dumb, it’s not very fun, it’s repetitive and kind of boring (even the new challenges get old fast), and I have a much more enjoyable time with nearly every single other thing. I like the dancing and just hanging out and doing favors and the Hundred Acre Wood and Snow White’s World are just so nice and enjoyable and even some of the other worlds have episodes that just let you breathe from “keep spamming A and twirling”.

The Ghosts are uncreative, frustrating, and I just don’t feel they add anything. This conflict isn’t even needed–you could still go up a mountain and investigate lost mail without having to defeat ghosts along the way. Like I find the episodes where I’m not doing some stupid dungeon grind so much more fulfilling.

But yes, moving onto playing recently, I feel like I’m not accomplishing much, but am earning stickers anyway. I do think I’ll probably finish earning the 100 before I get even close to being done with the game. That is probably a good thing though.

After doing enough dancing at the Ballroom, I finally got the item I needed for Owl:

Unfortunately, my progress in this world was paused immediately again with the next episode as Kanga wants something from Wonderland and I’m not even touching Wonderland until I finish The Little Mermaid because I hate Wonderland so much. X__x

I then went off to work on getting the other balls unlocked and started up an Aladdin Party. “It’s Showtime” has to be one of my favorite songs–it’s so catchy.

And of course, this unlocked another Ball:

And unlocking my 5th got me a Sticker :D

I then continued working on Snow White’s World and unlocked the Rainbow Cavern!:

And became Sneaky the Dwarf apparently.

Meanwhile, over in Frozen’s World we built a Snowman.

And after meeting with Marshmallow and beating the Frozen World Boss…

We came back to some new Snowpeople based off us (because our Snowman had to go get possessed

I then held my first Frozen Party to unlock the Frozen Ball:

I also got to have my very first Golden Dream Parade which had different activities despite being the same setting.

After that, I mostly just worked on grinding up more materials and working on my Fish Collection. I’m hoping to start the Little Mermaid world soon and also host a Snow White Party which is the last Ball I need to unlock. I also got John’s cute Teddybear:

But I think I’ll stick with the UniBEARsity one for now. I also finally got my Cherry blossom sparkles so yay :D

Finally, Nintendo updated their website with some Halloween themed items you can scan in from a QR code so be sure to do that if you haven’t yet!

Disney Magical World 2 – So much to do

10 / 17 / 16

One of the things I’ve been having trouble with DMW2 for is just balancing eveything. There’s more Worlds, so many episodes, everything is so much bigger, and I’m unlocking stickers left and right before I can even do some of the basic Cafe missions or even many of the Episodes. In fact, I ended up completely missing the unlock requirement for the Ballroom Dancing because I didn’t host a Cinderella Party yet… but let’s get onto the photos and overview, yes?

So, first things first, Kanga and Roo have moved into the Hundred Acre Wood!

After finishing some things there, I ended up unlocking the Frozen area.

I then headed back to Hawaii to finish up the main episodes for Lilo and Stitch.

I just need to get to the extra episodes at the end now :P

I then ended up unlocking all the other Worlds pretty much one after the other… Snow White:

The Little Mermaid:

And Alice in Wonderland:

I still hate playing in Wonderland. The annoying ghosts are back, the ear sore that is the music is back… I wish they switched in any of the other worlds or even a new one over bringing it back.

Going back to Snow White, one of the big new things in the game is mining:

And I hate it so much. It’s essentially a rhythm game and there are two Stickers that require you to get 5 Perfects in one round of 10. The most I’ve gotten is 4. While I do like the idea of mining for gemstones, I just wish it wasn’t a rhythm game. I do love that they let you recolor outfits though.

I then went to the Cafe to finally do the Cinderella Party to unlock the Ballroom along with doing Parties for Belle and Aurora as well to unlock a few more Ballroom Episodes. I will probably do an Aladdin one next which should get me the 5 Princess invites–then I believe I just have Snow White and Frozen left to unlock all the different dances.

I actually was able to do a Gold Rank party for Beauty and the Beast which featured a completely new song on Showtime. I’m not sure if the song is different just because it was Gold or if it it’s different per party when gold.

I actually really enjoy the changes they made to the Ballroom dancing–it uses the same kind of input as the Hula Dancing for Lilo and Stitch and each ballroom looks different depending on who you are dancing for:

This also let me finally unlock one of my favorite outfits from the first game (after getting my other favorite from Wonderland):

(You may also notice my house is looking pinker :D Still trying to find a nice roof and maybe a better door…)

Then, however, I found a dress I loved even more:

At first, I was really upset as the dress couldn’t be recolored, but after finishing Rapunzel’s dance episodes, I got a recipe for a dress of hers that was the same, but purple and thus, I rushed off to do Aurora’s party.

My bet paid off though:

I love it so much. I want it in real life. And now I need to get new layout artwork at some point but it’s worth it:

One of the things I’ve really been enjoying are some of the less fetch quest-y missions which can be just a cutscene or general hanging out such as surfing with Stitch:

And going on a Treasure Hunt:

In case of the Treasure Hunts, it can be a little random what you get (Either something Common or something Rare you can’t get otherwise) and I wish the Rare things had a higher chance of success considering there is no other way to get them, but it’s such a nice break from the usual favors.

But yes, my plans for next time:
1. Aladdin Party
2. More episodes completed
3. Suffer through more mining

I’m really worried I won’t get all the Halloween stuff in time, but I’ll do my best!

Disney Magical World 2 – Stickers 1-40

10 / 15 / 16

So, I did start playing yesterday (You can find all my videos from yesterday already up on Youtube, but I am actually sick with the Flu right now and after playing all day, I decided to put the entry off until well, today :P So, let’s get started (before I play even more).

Before I go into pictures and logs though, I want to talk a bit about the game. Overall, it’s a huge improvement. Some worlds have been replaced (though, I still feel 6 is a bit small), others have been overhauled (The 100 Acre Woods looks much nicer and I’m expecting similar with Wonderland), and graphics have been upgraded as well. There are also even more new items so yay. New clothing items too, though, the menu has been over-simplified to the point where I have had some issues finding certain things.

The main town is also huge and Cafe Parties are so much better this game.

That said, some of the negatives I’ve noticed:
-Card collecting is gone. This isn’t a huge deal, but I found it surprising.
-Still no Online Multiplayer. Whhhy ;~; It’s pretty much the same as last game the way it all works.
-Noticeable frame drops. People said the first game had them, but I don’t usually notice that stuff so if I’m noticing it, there has to be some bad ones.
-Still really awkward item limits for decorating.
-Flooring and Wallpaper are now one item in the Cafe. While you can mix and match for your house, you can’t for the Cafe which is… incredibly dumb. I loved mixing and matching them and now I’m not sure if I
-Cammy is kind of obnoxious. I guess it’s good if you want to take lots of pictures at least but?

Anyway, to the photos!

So, you get to create your character and pick a starting outfit before being put in a green void to take your first picture:

I’m sad the hairstyle I used in the first game wasn’t an option this time around when starting off. There is a Hair Boutique though, so hopefully I find something event better. You also got to pick a starting outfit which was pretty nice.

I have arrived! :D

I then met up with Mickey and met everyone else:

It was then off to the Palace:

And getting my own house:

Also I could still swing on the swing and I am very happy about it:

I love that all the characters have their own houses that you can even go in:

I wish my house looked like Minnie’s house.

The game is just really nice (also the fact that we can hold items is amazing–I hope I can get a Teddybear):

But yes, after the first 18 stickers and my first Dream Parade (see below), the town became covered with Halloween decorations:

And also unlocked our first area with Lilo and Stitch!:

Our next area was Winnie the Pooh:

The big things with this game are the Dance shows:

And the Dream Parades:

Cafe Dishes made so far:

Special Photos Taken so far:

Bonus:
After turning the game on today to check the shops and favors before they change, I managed to get two more stickers before recording ^^; One for doing so many favors, One for obtaining a Lilo & Stitch frame, and another for collecting 10 Dream Puzzle pieces!

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer – Challenge #13!

10 / 1 / 16

It’s been a while since my last entry–I haven’t had much time to play things unfortunately and it’s pretty frustrating as there’s a lot I’d like to do. I should have a short video up for finishing Kingdom’s Item Shop soon along with possibly another Overwatch highlight video, but we will see.

As for Animal Crossing, while I haven’t had as much time to do more houses as I’d like (and I really want to find time to), I did manage to finish up my Amiibo card collection! I might do a video showing them in all the European binders, but I haven’t decided yet. Regardless, I’m now ready for the new cards coming for New Leaf’s update.

I’ll be leaving for Disney World in about a week and a half so I’ll be sure to post some photos and things for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. Speaking of Disney, Disney Magical World 2 also comes out in 2 weeks so expect lots of entries and videos for that too! I’m purposely going to be putting a lot of time aside for it so hopefully I can finish most stuff ahead of time, but yes, onto the latest Challenge! Let’s see what giant items we have to work with this time ;~;

In which I talk a lot about Vdex Project

9 / 13 / 169 / 13 / 16

Vdex Project, for those who probably aren’t aware, is a Pokemon-based site with its own story that essentially has you exploring, through your browser, the various regions and catching Pokemon that was created by Shirogane. Unfortunately, it’s closing this upcoming January :(

Of all the various Pokemon browser game based sites, this was my absolute favorite because there was so much more of a focus on Collecting and Goals. Battling was off in its own side mode and not something you needed to really focus on. You could make out your Pokemon’s stats and just explore every region and do your best to catch all the forms.

Not to mention there was no silly hoard tons and maybe hatch something you want or get a bazillion people to click your Pokemon to get it to evolve. You could play with the community or even do a lot of it yourself. It was just so much more enjoyable to me. You could even catch all kinds of different Gen sprites.

Heck, there was even a Custom Event once:
vdexcustom
I should add a Mega Audino Poncho to it one day. My husband’s custom:

And of course, I essentially got several Mega Audino when they were added for my party:
vdexmegaaudino

But there were also various event sprites–these were two of my favorites:

And these were the various collections I had:

Pikachu Palace! For every type of Pikachu I was able to get :3

Angel Ears – For Mega Audino :P

Cotton Candy Fields – For all Pink Sprites!

The Gallery – For all my favorite Pokemon that don’t fit into the other categories

The Pokedex Project – For all my favorite sprites of Pokemon I wouldn’t necessarily call my favorites

Mysterious Mysteries – For those that don’t fit anywhere else, but are special!

A few highlights of some of the Pokemon seen above:

I also collected lots of items…

And even had my own dungeon:
mysterydungeon

It was just a super cute site and incorporated a lot of what I loved about Pokemon. I never managed to earn all the achievements, but I still did my best:
vdexno

I’m really going to miss this. To finish this off, a lovely picture of Celina, my Pokemon OC, that Shiro drew for me:
1grha8
It’s still one of my favorites <3 I'm going to try and do my best to see if I can get the last few things I wanted to do done before it's closed, but even if not, I'll just enjoy it while it is still around.

Nintendo Direct & New StreetPass games!

9 / 3 / 164 / 8 / 18

So, Thursday morning a new Nintendo Direct aired and it was really good. While there are people complaining because of the lack of NX footage or mention, they already said it was going to be 3DS focused. I’m sure we’ll see NX stuff later this month around Tokyo Game Show.

It’s been such a long time since I felt so excited during most of a Nintendo Direct. While not everything interested me, I still really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to a lot of things. If you haven’t watched it yet, you can watch it on their Youtube channel!

We started off with Pokemon news and more will be coming next week. I don’t have too much to say other than that it’s neat we can download a Munchlax when it first comes out. Pulverizing Pancake is a beautiful name for an attack.

I’m probably one of the few people who doesn’t care much for Super Mario Maker on the 3DS. I don’t have much interest in the main game, my favorite part of the main game is exclusive to the Wii U, and I just generally prefer console games so it just doesn’t have any interest for me. At the moment, I’m still waiting for a non-2D Platformer Mario.

Speaking of games I prefer on consoles over handhelds… there’s the next Mario Party. I haven’t really enjoyed a Mario Party a lot since 8 though sadly :( And just never enjoy the handheld ones.

Then the first thing I was looking forward to and excited for showed up–news on the upcoming Animal Crossing update! I already spoke about it a little on my Animal Crossing site, but I’ll be talking much more over here. For one, the new 50 Amiibo Cards coming out look amazing and will all be characters that didn’t make it into New Leaf:
amiibocards
This makes me want to finish my current sets so badly before it comes out… But I just can’t afford to right now and it breaks my heart :(

The new trailer area looks great (and I’m curious about that dog–a new NPC for the area?) and I just am so excited for it:
suspicious
Everything about it just looks so neat.

Japan mentioned the full Animal Crossing direct will be coming out November 2nd and their cards will be out on the 3rd. Europe is getting the cards on the 11th and for whatever reason, ours are a whole month later. I have no idea why, but it’s pretty disappointing that we won’t get to experience part of the update due to that unless we import cards :( Japan lists the physical version with the update for the 23rd so the update will most likely be between the 3rd and then… So Europe and Japan can likely prepare with cards or at least have them much sooner than we do for the Update. And Japan is already having a whole special Hello Kitty set of cards:
CrVzaSoUMAAZ8DS CrVzaSsVUAAsrjt
I don’t really understand some of the Animal choices, but I want them anyway. Apparently they will be in special packs only sold at 7-11–there will be 2 cards per pack along with a collaborative sticker so you’ll need 3 packs minimum to get them all… I don’t really want to gamble with packs from Japan so I hope I can find the set online.

I’m hoping the full Animal Crossing Direct will talk about some of the “cosplay” features and new items that were hinted to in the images shown, but I’m just really excited and now that my town is all fixed up again, I am ready to go.

Now, if I wasn’t hyped enough, next was a lovely announcement for the StreetPass Mii Plaza which I still absolutely adore. MORE GAMES. I am so happy!! I’m terrible at all of them but still! :D I uploaded a video playing them all if you’d rather watch than read, but let’s get to it!

Before I talk about the games themselves, they added several quality of life updates–such as being able to queue up to 100 Mii in a holding line if you have the VIP Room. I have mixed feelings on this because it’d just be so much more useful if you could just have 100 on line and games took them one at a time rather than checking every 10 and putting them in a queue over playing with them. It just doesn’t feel as convenient as it sounds.

Mostly though, they added some stuff to get you in quickly and back out–and that’s essentially the theme of the games as well, everything is quick. Also, I’m still not entirely sure what this is for but I got a cute pin on my Mii now and I love it:
miipin
You can also search through your Mii Plaza with a filter which is just incredibly handy. Now I’ve made sure all my gold pants Miis are in the VIP room. Except the one that wouldn’t let me add it for some reason *shakes fist*

But yes, onto the games themselves! I’ll go in order and start with Slot Car Rivals, one of the two games you can get for free.

This is definitely one of my favorites if only for the car customization. You can customize without any effect to stats and that is something I’ve been dying for in Nintendo games and I really hope they can start doing that for all their games because Mario Kart has slowly been getting ruined for me due to it and it was part of the issue I had with Splatoon too.

The race courses are still fun, but it’s such a strict learning curve and it takes a while to get used to the timing. The courses do have nice designs though.

It reminds me a lot of the Mario Party Minigame Slot Car Derby and it’s just pretty fun.

Next up is the other option for the free game–Market Crashers which involves Miis giving you a bit of a prediction on how the market will go and quickly buying and selling stocks to try and build up money. You can also buy souvenirs to fill a museum of sorts which is really neat.

The main thing with this game though is it just goes by so incredibly fast. I feel like I’m at least playing Slot Car Derby longer, but getting through the games quickly is pretty much the theme with these new StreetPass games.

Feed Mii is the first of the games you have to purchase and it’s pretty cute. You essentially cook for Knights who are going off to fight similar enemies you’d find in Find Mii.

I would say my only complaint with it is the way ingredients work. Ignoring that some recipes are a bit hard to figure out. you can only have 5 left over for your fridge–everything else is tossed and that really stinks. While you have the opportunity to make new dishes/test out new recipes or even improve on ones you’ve made using the ingredients you have to get down to 5, it sucks to feel so limited–especially when it’s best to try and perfect the dishes. Thankfully, it seems you will always get asked to make a dish you have the stuff for–there is just no guarantee you’ll be able to create the Artisan version. The food looks pretty good though:

Ninja Launcher is the next game and is probably my least favorite of the set. More or less, you are a Ninja. You get shot out of a cannon to get to the enemies, but because your clothes will catch on fire, you have to take them off and catch them as you’re going through the air to the enemy.

The more clothes you manage to get, the more damage you’ll do. It’s as weird as it sounds, lining them all up quick enough is a pain, and if you only have one Mii streetpassed, you’ll be doing so little damage at a time, it’s just kind of worthless. I do love the design of the Apprentice though–all the NPCs in this batch of Mii games are amazing, but she probably has one of my favorite designs:

Finally, the last game is Mii Trek which I really like–it’s kind of similar to Find Mii in a way, but with a focus more on Exploring than Fighting.

You also collect stuff. It’s great. This one and the Slot Car game are probably my favorites.

My only complaint is similar to with Ninja Launcher, it’s incredibly limited if you do not have more Miis. You can also lose Miis or cause steps to be lost by certain actions and it actually ruined one of my plays as I lost the one Mii that actually had a good amount of steps :(

Regardless, all the games are fun in their own way and while they are quick and have their own ingame achievements, they do not have any tickets. You do get a special hat and bubble for buying them and another set once you’ve completed the game.

Tank Troopers was up next which kind of reminded me of the Tank game in Wii Play so it definitely looks interesting–I don’t know if I’ll get it or not, but I may at least keep an eye out for it.

After that was Picross 3D Round 2, but I’m just not a huge Picross fan. I do think it looks neat though.

We were then shown some stuff for the Zelda 30th Anniversary including THESE AMAZING AMIIBO:
zeldaamiibo
We preordered them all. They will have special functionality in Breath of the Wild too which I’m super excited about.

I’m going to skip over some things now as I just genuinely don’t have much to say ^^; And while I probably won’t get Yo-Kai Watch 2, Sailor Nyan is adorable:
sailornyan

And then we got to something I was happy to see they did show, Disney Magical World 2! It wasn’t really anything new or that I didn’t know–the only thing that concerns me is the mention of the pre-purchase bonus as it sounds like it is exclusive to the eShop and I plan to buy the game physically so that’s a bit disappointing. I hope it’s just a general preorder bonus. On the website, it does seem like it is a general preorder bonus thankfully though so yay. It seems I should get the codes through an email so I just need to keep my eye out for it :) Even if I’ll probably never actually wear the Olaf costume or Anna’s and Elsa’s outfits…

The game comes out October 14th so I really hope I get a lot done in Style Savvy and other things finished up before it comes out <3 It just looks so great. Towards the end after Bill came back, we started with this scene: poochyyay
AND I LOVE POOCHY SO MUCH SO I WAS ALREADY EXCITED.

It turns out Yoshi’s Woolly World is coming over to the 3DS which I ad mixed feelings on–we still have to finish the Wii U version and I don’t really care about replaying a lot of what I already did. But then they showed the Poochy features:
poochypups
poochyexclusive
And the Poochy Amiibo:
poochy
And thus, now I have the bundle preordered so thanks, Nintendo. But seriously, how am I supposed to resist this:
poochycake

We also got to see a little more Ever Oasis, but it hasn’t really given more of an idea than what we saw at E3.

Finally, while I didn’t mention it, I’m still super excited for Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice, even if I am disappointed it will be digital only again. I’ll take it over never getting it at all though.

I was say we didn’t hear anything about Lady Layton and Detective Pikachu, though. Japan didn’t even hear about Detective Pikachu Episode 2… I really want to hear these games coming overseas ;~; <3 Regardless, it was a great Nintendo Direct. Now back to getting more StreetPasses for the new games <3

Style Savvy: Fashion Forward is the third installment in the Style Savvy series! The game adds lots of new content to the series along with tons of new items and customization options. Despite never being much into fashion myself, I’ve always loved the idea of dress-up and the games continue to be one of my favorite series. While the game isn’t perfect, I feel it adds a lot of things that I hope will become staples in future series–possibly also taking from some stuff not included that had been introduced in the second game. Regardless, I’ll save most of my thoughts to the main entry. There’s a lot to say and the game really is much better than its predecessors so if you enjoyed the previous titles, you should definitely pick this one up too!
